The 31st annual Grouse Mountain Fly-In is scheduled to take place August 9-10th 2008

Paraglider and hang-glider pilots are invited to soar the skies over spectacular Vancouver from the Grouse Mountain launch, located at an elevation of 4,100 feet above the city.

Pilot registration will start at 8:30 am in the Cleveland Park LZ and the mandatory pilots meeting will be at 9:00 each day. This is a fun flying event and the registration fee

Hi,

We couldn't arrange for Justin's fabulous BBQ this time so the social event will be held at the Rusty Rail atop Grouse Mountain - burgers 'n beer, yum! This makes the event a little cheaper, $30, and includes vouchers for burger+beer Saturday night and burger+soda Sunday lunch. Those wishing to make alternate plans on Saturday night should be able to use their vouchers for lunch (please don't drink and fly).

What might you want to do on Saturday night other than hang out at the Rusty Rail with fellow pilots? There's lots to do in Vancouver but one thing you may consider is celebrating Steve Hotzak's 30th birthday. Steve's significant other (I'm bad with names) is hosting a BBQ at her place in Steve's honor. It is BYO meat/beer, you are invited to show up after 19:00, and the address is 2646 Trinity, Vancouver (a map will be available at registration).

Visiting pilots are also reminded that HPAC insurance is a requirement of our insurance policy when flying our sites. 90-day temporary insurance is available for non-residents and can be purchased for $40 at registration.
