Vancouver International Air-Port, B. C.

I met with the grouse management last week so the staff at guest services should be aware of our procedures. The process is the same as usual, renew your pass, sign a waiver, and then when you go to fly please sign in at guest services at the top of the mountain. Please ensure that you sign in at the top as the Grouse staff is aware that not all people are taking the time to sign. This is important for a variety of reasons one of which is to show some respect to the Grouse staff and management. Take a moment to reread the rules and procedures manual to refresh your memory with the different conditions that present themselves at Grouse. Also please ensure that your HPAC is up to date. If you have disappeared from the membership list this is the most likely reason.
Brent will be organizing the removal of the fence shortly. We gain possession of the field on Wednesday June 25 so this will happen on that day or shortly thereafter.
We will be charging a fee of Fifty dollars to be on the GMFT this year. This is fundamentally to cover the costs of the LZ and run the web site. Traditionally most of the GMFT operating budget has been supplemented by the fly in, however there has not been much revenue generated by this event for the last couple of years. As a large portion of the people that attend this event are American and given the state of the American currency, gas prices, and border lineups it seems unlikely that attendance will improve in the foreseeable future.
Please send a $50.00 cheque or cash by June 25 to:
