Vancouver International Air-Port, B. C.

Everything seems to be in order for flying at Grouse at the moment. I went up for a flight this afternoon and checked in at guest services to see if they were aware of the procedures and how to access the web site. They are mostly brand new staff so they may need some direction, please be patient and helpful should you need a new pass. The supervisors at Guest services were there last year and are aware of the proper procedures. I will be meeting with the gang up there next week to ensure that all staff are made aware of our existence. The sign in book at the top of the mountain is in its usual location, and the staff member there was aware of it. There is lots of snow, like about 8' so bring some vibram soled hikers for the walk up. While it was a little slippery at first, the walk up is in great shape overall. The launch is snow covered, but the snow is very firm and I had no problem running off in a nil wind. There were no baseball games or other activities in progress at the LZ, and the Handsworth school fields were empty as well, so there were lots of landing options.
Have fun, fly safe.
