Editing Flights

I added my flights for this year. I checked out Dave Merrick's flight because we went up together that day and saw he had a good one. While looking at it I also saw the edit tab, so I added GMFT to the end of his description to see if it would work. It did!
Wouldn't it be better for the integrity of the log if pilots were only allowed to edit their own flights and other pilots were only allowed to add comments?
