Flying starting this weekend

Submitted by Harry Siempelkamp on Sat, 2007-04-28 01:12.
To all team members: I just got the word from guest services that we are OK to fly this weekend. Some of the concerns that have been raised by Grouse are as follows: - Flying to close to the tram. I.e. scratching in the gully below the restaurant. They want us to stay 300' horizontally and 500' vertically from the tram. - No launching during the bird show. Its not running yet so this is a non issue at the moment. - Tram loading etiquette. There have been no particular issues but they would to re-enforce that courteous behavior is important - They would prefer that we walk up the road rather than walk straight up the hill. There is lots of snow up there so be careful. As far as landing goes we will proceed as we have historically for the time being. Let's try to not land during a baseball game, or at the very least be discreet if you are landing during a game. I would like to explore the possibility of landing at Handsworth Secondary School when games are in progress. Schools are rarely used on weekends so this could be a good possibility when our usual field is in use. In general the usual rules and common sense apply. Fly safe, Harry
